IPv6 protocol was proposed in 1998 to replace IPv4 and solve the
issues that exist in IPv4 networks. But despite the passing of many
years still many security issues remain. |
|
The IPv6 Security Research Activities(IPv6SRA) group was started in May, 2011 to resolve IPv6 security issues and to make the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 a smooth one. |

" SeND implementation" for Windows (WinSEND) |

The Windows Secure Neighbor Discovery (WinSEND) endevour started in June 2011 in response to the lack of a SeND protocol for the windows families. It is the first implementation of SeND for windows families. It has all the functionality of the SeND protocol, such as CGA and signature generation and verification, sending and receiving the 5 kinds of NDP messages.
It was implemented based on RFC 3971,3972.

It provides both security and privacy in windows families. |

"CGA-TSIG" , a solution for secure DNS update for IPv6

CGA-TSIG is an implementation of our draft
RFC, i.e., http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-rafiee-intarea-cga-tsig-01.txt.
It is implemented on Linux-based DNS servers and Windows based clients.
We also used information obtained from RFCs that explain the functions
of DNS and the format of its resource records. RFC 1035, RFC 2845, and
RFC 3972 are cases in point. |
